The Winter White (P. sungorus) and the Campbell (P. campbelli) are commonly confused with each other, as many fail to be able to visually detect the differences between the two species. 1 - Wheel. Appropriate wheel size depends on which species of hamster you plan on keeping. As a general rule, the minimum wheel size for the 5 domesticated species are as follows; Roborovski - 20cm, Winter White & Campbells dwarf - 22cm/25cm, Chinese dwarf - 27cm, and Syrian - 32cm.
